Lands at Flimwell and elsewhere in Ticehurst, Hawkhurst and Goudhurst in Kent to his wife Elizabeth for as long as she and [her sister-in-law] Lady Hendle shall live together, she to bring up his son Thomas On the death of Lady Hendle, Elizabeth to have the house at Boarzell, land called Swantwyssel and the land and housing now called Father Battes, occupied by James Kene and Walter Reynoldes, paying an annuity of £6 to her son Thomas at 18 On the death of Elizabeth and Lady Hendle, estate to remain to son Thomas in tail, remainder to Thomas son of JR's brother Walter Roberts in tail Executors to raise £100 from the sale [of wood in] Adams Wood and other woods belonging to the farm of Flimwell (to be supplemented if necessary from Lady Hendle's woods at Boarzell), to keep his daughter Margery and be paid to her at 18 or marriage Any unborn child to have £100 or the property at Flimwell £10 annuity to Walter Hendley, gent, to be void if executors pay debt to Mr Scott [for which see DUN 49/10 below] in which they are jointly bound Executors: wife Elizabeth and brother[-in-law] Francis Pigot W: Walter Hendlye, Martin Culpepper, John Fuller |
