From (a) Joseph Andrews of Shaw (co. Berks) esq. (eldest son and heir at law and also executor of Joseph Andrews late of the parish of St. George in Bloomsbury (co. Midd.) esq. (decd.) to (b) Joseph Barnardiston of Islington (co. Midd.), gent., and Samuel Howes of Chancery Lane, London, stationer (executors of Sarah Fowler late of the parish of St. Marylebone (co. Midd.) wid. decd.)

 

A. Freehold messuage known by the name of Widdowsons and lands in Great Coggeshall (co. Essex) and three fields and one meadow adjoining thereto called Maysbrane in Pattiswick and Bradwell (co. Essex), with other properties in these parishes; messuages in the parishes of St. Martin in the Fields and St. Paul, Covent Garden (co. Midd.). All described fully with details of abuttals, occupiers, acreages, etc

 

B. Messuages and farmhouse called Sheppards and other lands names, acreages and occupier given in Rickmansworth (co. Herts): manor or farm called Hyde, with all buildings, barns, messuages, lands (200 a.) etc. in Slaugham, 'Seale', Crawley and Shelley, together with the stock of conies thereupon; lands and heathlands (110 a.) called Inlands and Kelsey alias Kelsley in Slaugham, abutting on copyhold lands called West Lands on E. part, on Hide Lands on N., on lands heretofore of Edmund Beacheley called Inholmes and land heretofore of Richard Hampson on W., and on lands heretofore of George Carpenter called Huntmans on S

 

Conveyance of the properties in A, and assignments of terms of years in the properties in B, all to be held to the trusts in the Will of Sarah Fowler

 

Recites: (i) settlement, 2, 3 May 1742, upon the marriage of Jacob Fowler of the parish of St. Andrew, Holborn (co. Midd.), gent, and the said Sarah Fowler (then Sarah Smith of the parish of St. Martin in the Fields (co. Midd.), spinster, by conveyance of the properties in A to trustees, of whom the said Joseph Andrews, decd., became the survivor, and assignment to these trustees of the properties in Hertfordshire for the remainder of a term of 500 years created by indenture of 1 November 1727, and of the properties in Sussex for the remainder of a term of 1000 years created by indenture of 13 December 1727, this last being a mortgage to secure £200 from Daniel Heathfield of Croydon (co. Surr.), baker, to Obadiah Marryat of the parish of St. Clement Danes (co. Midd.), gent. (the Sussex properties at the time of this settlement being described as late in occ. of Matthew Hards and then in occ. of Charles Harding): (ii) that Jacob Fowler died in July 1757, and Sarah on 25 January 1766, she leaving all her real estate and all her personal estate, not specifically bequeathed, to her executors upon specified trusts
