Administrative / biographical background: |
The school was founded in 1526 under the will of Sir Thomas Boteler, kt., Lord of the Manor of Warrington. It was built originally in School Brow, and there rebuilt in 1688, 1707, 1829 and 1862, then in 1940 moved into new buildings at Latchford upon amalgamation with Warrington Secondary School. It was amalgamated September 1983 with Richard Fairclough County Secondary School to form Warrington Victoria Park County High School. In 1988 the school name was changed to Sir Thomas Boteler High School and in 2002 became Sir Thomas Boteler CE (Aided) High School. |
