(a) William son of Richard Faber [Smith] de Karylton [Carlton, Northants]

 

(b) Richard son of William le Corveyser [Cordwainer] de Medburne

 

William grants to Richard a certain messuage with court adjoining situated between the cottage of lord Thomas de Chaworth on one side and the messuage of the said Richard on the other, for 40 shillings sterling in hand paid for all secular services and other demands. To hold of William and his heirs to Richard and his heirs or to whoever he may wish to give, sell or bequeath, or assign it forever.

 

Rendering annually to William and his heirs or assigns one Rose flower at the Feast of St. Peter in exchange for all secular services, etc. reliefs. [Warranty clause]

 

WITNESSES John son of W [gap] de Medeburne, Henry his brother, William Valedene, Robert, iuxta Ripam, William Chapman, Richard le Perer, Hugh son of Hedardus.
