From: Richard Pree, steward of the manor of Doccombe To: the prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Memorandum relating to: (1) The refusal of the prior's tenants to pay their fines because, they claim, the prior promised in front Sr Thomas Fulforth, knight, that they need not pay fines due from before Richard became steward. (2) The procedure Richard, Maister Seyntleger and Maister Curtney have decided to adopt for setting out the boundaries between the prior's wood and a road. (3) The prior's promise to Richard that he should have a gown on 29 Sep last. No date. [Date: handwriting. Richard Pree was farmer of Doccombe in 1484 (DCc-Register/S, f338v).]
