Annual subscriptions promised were about £8, 'but the outlay for books, forms & a desk with the first quarters salary to the Mistress has nearly exhausted this'. Mrs. Perry, the mistress, goes on 'remarkably well, and the children are much improved in their behaviour, the number of daily scholars is about 32. & on the Sunday 36'. |
