Grant in frankalmoign with warranty

 

Henry de Altaribus with consent of wife Matilda for souls of self, ancestors and successors to St. Mary and Abbey of Bokfast' and monks there.

 

His land at Miriefeld (There is also a Merrifield in Churchstow, but the witnesses' names suggest Buckfastleigh, as most are, or probably are, where identifiable, Buckfastleigh and South Brent names) with appurtenances namely a half ferling of land given him by his brother William de Muthecumbe for yielding his claim to land in Muthecumbe [Mothecombe in Holbeton], to hold quit of all secular exactions except royal service.

 

Witnesses, Hugh de Killebir, Jordan de Killebir, Richard de Hurbneford, William de La Forde, Nicholas de Muthecumb', Richard de Cumb', Peter Tuna, Thomas de Greignu.
