Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Horace Moule, Assistant Poor Law Inspector to the Local Government Board, reporting his inspection of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union Workhouse on 19 October 1872. It includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards and numbers of inmates. He finds it to be generally satisfactory, while recommending a number of improvements to the boy's water closet and the infectious diseases ward He mentions John King and Robert Briggs admitted since Mr Wilkes, Commissioner in Lunacy reprt as dangerous.
