The proposed line starts from a junction with the Lewes and Uckfield Railway, at Uckfield, and runs north-east to Wadhurst where it joins with the Hastings Branch of the South Eastern Railway. Sussex parishes: Uckfield, Framfield, Buxted, Mayfield, Rotherfield, Wadhurst. Names Hempstead Farm, Culver's Wood, Buxted Bridge, Howbourne, Hastingford, Huggetts Furnace Farm, Luckford, Stone Farm, Reddings and Normanhole. Tunnel marked at Rotherfield. Sections with horizontal scale as above and vertical scale 2.5": 100 feet. Cross-sections of railway crossings are given with horizontal scale 16": 1 mile and vertical scale 2.5": 100 feet. An OS map is attached with the route of the proposed line marked in red. |
