Arrangement:

The documents deposited by Whitfords have been arranged manor by manor, each section listing title deeds, leases and estate administration. The "Industrial records" section contains a number of setts for tin, copper and other minerals, and there are a few legal and personal papers

Related material:

Other documents relating to same properties will be found in the main Buller collection (BU) which includes also the records of the Morval and West Cornwall estates, and documents relating to many out-county properties.

A further collection of Buller papers is kept at Antony House among the archives of the Carew-Pole family. The documents were taken to Antony House in about 1890 on the death of the last of the male line of the Bullers of Morval, J. F. Buller. He left four heiresses, one of whom married W. H. Pole Carew and brought the family documents to Antony. They include records relating to the whole of the Buller estate. A catalogue of these documents is available at the County Record Office.

The three groups of Buller documents (WH., BU., CRO and the Antony documents) together provide material for a comprehensive history of the family and their extensive properties, showing the acquisition and administration of lands all over Cornwall as well as in other parts of the country.

BUCRO: records of Buller family of Morval.

Carew-Pole records at Antony House include Buller documents.
