Administrative / biographical background:

Formerly James Armitage Street UMF Chapel (C.SU25). Transferred in 1887 to Collingwood Terrace as High Southwick United Methodist Free Church in the Dock Street Circuit [MC.SU10]. In 1907 became United Methodist, and Methodist in 1933, as part of Sunderland North Circuit [see MC.SU1].

 

Apparently absorbed King Street UM Congregation [C.SU52] in 1919.
