The first Primitive Methodist chapel at Ley Hill was built in 1846, but was actually two cottages converted to use as a meeting house. The first purpose-built chapel was erected in 1887, on freehold land given by Lord Chesham. It was built with money borrowed from Mr J Ausden, and which was finally paid off in 1914. |
