(This Charity, for the education of eight poor boys, was founded by the will of William Saunders, proved 3 November 1720. He bequeathed £560 for the purchase of land to provide for the employment of a schoolmaster, for the rent of a schoolhouse and for the clothing and education of eight poor boys from Chaddleworth, Leckhampstead in Chieveley, Brightwalton, Fawley and Great Shefford. |
