Them Wifies

"Them Wifies" was one of the first Women's Arts organisations in the North East. Based in Newcastle it worked with individuals and groups disadvantaged by their circumstances (predominantly but not exclusively women and girls). It's mission statement was: ‘Them Wifies enables women in the North East to lead healthier more positive lives. We use creativity and the arts to work with people who face disadvantage and barriers and develop tailor made specialist services and resources that deliver innovative and positive experiences.’ The organisation was wound up in August 2015 after 36 years due to lack of funding.
