Title: | Brindley Papers |
Date: | 15th - 20th Centuries |
Arrangement: |
These papers relating predominantly to the Davenport, Brindley and Brough families of the Leek area were originally assembled and catalogued by the antiquarian, H.H. Brindley. To a large extent his arrangement has been retained. His references have not been retained however and these are in square brackets below the present call number. In addition to the family materials, Brindley also collected sundry local documents of interest to him. Many of these defy any sort of logical arrangement and are included in the miscellaneous sections. |
