27 Geo.III, Mar.27. William Parsons of Gurney Slade in the parish of Binegar, Yeoman, and Anne Parsons, his wife, to William Moore of Charlton in the parish of Kilmersdon, Gentleman, and Iohn and William Dory both of Stone Easton, Gentlemen, (Reciting (1) Lease of 1729, Ap.21 James Tooker and Sarkwell Bate, both Gentleman, to John Salmon of Wintertop Chilcompton, yeoman, of premises at Wintertop [See DD\SAS\H/43/2/17b] for 99 years determinable on lives of Roger Padfield, the younger, Deborah Salmon (Deborah, since deced.) and Johanna Salmon at 11/9 p.a. rent and best beast or goods or £2.0.0. heriot. (2) By various assignments premises now vested in William Parsons for remainder of term (3) Settlement of 1773, Feb. 22 by which the said William, then Innholder upon his marriage with Anne Harris, daughter of Geo. Harris of Midsummer Norton, yeoman, assigned to George Lax of Wells, Gentleman and George James of Benigar, yeoman, the said premises with covenants as to renewal to keep, during the life time of the said William, 3 lives always in being and as to revocation of trusts. (4) Lease of 1780, July 18 (on surrender of previous lease), same parties, same premises (except as therein excepted) on lives of Roger Padfield, Johanna Purle (formerly Johanna Salmon) and the said William at 11/9 p.a. rent and best beast or goods or £2.0.0. Heriot at choice of Lessor). Revocating of Trusts in the said Settlement and for £250 of the said leasehold premises at Wintertop, in the manor and parish of Childcompton [See DD\SAS\H/43/2/17b] Determinable on payment of £250 and Interest on Sept. 27 next ensuing. Proviso as to default and as to renewal of lease by Mortgagees in the event of death of any or either of lives, the charges to be added to the principal with interest payable.

Parchment, 2 skins, the outer indented; needleholes down each side of each, one 2/6 stamp on each skin. Endorsements as to execution and receipt for consideration money; witnesses Geo: Lax, Junr and Edward Sweet
