At Flempton

 

(i) Thomas Dix, late of West Stow and Robert Shyllyng of Wordwell. to (ii) John Hawe, parson of Flempton, John Lucas of West Stow and John Nienge of Hengrave.

 

Grant of a tenement, a croft and two pieces of arable land in Flempton, the tenement and croft lying together between the tenement called Ballokes and a tenement formerly of John Loore, abutting on the highway and on land called Halles; ½a. lying in Ilderfurlong next to land of the lord of Lackford W., abutting on the highway; ¼a. in the same furlong next to land of the lord of Hengrave W., abutting on the highway, the said tenements etc., being held by (i) with Thomas Shyllyng, late of Wordwell, and Thomas Reder, late of Bury St. Edmunds, mercer, now deceased, of the feoffment of Thomas Bunnyng, mercer, of Bury St. Edmunds, as appears in a charter dated 10 October 1470.

 

Also ½a. of land in Flempton, in a place called Between Halls ['inter Aulas'] between land of Walter Trumpyngton, kt., E. and land of the rector of Flempton W., abutting N. on a close of John Bret and S. on a croft and tenement late of Andrew Felyp and now of John Toftes, being land held by (i) with Thomas Shyllyng and Thomas Reder, now deceased, of the feoffment of the said John Hawe and John Nienge, and of John Hawe, gent., of Wisbech and Thomas Larke of Bury St. Edmunds.

 

To hold to (ii) and their heirs, of the chief lords.
