It would not matter that his son could not attend personally because Montagu would easily be able to find a Captain to take the place. Also mentions that he will support the Earl's interests whenever he returns to Huntingdonshire. [Robert Montagu was the elder son of the 4th Earl of Sandwich and Martha Ray]. |
