These papers are an additional deposit of the papers of Walter Noble Landor of Rugeley, a well-known local antiquary, author of Staffordshire Incumbents and Parochial Records, (1530-1680), (Collections for a History of Staffordshire, 1915) and of a manuscript History of Rugeley [copy available in William Salt Library].

 

The deposit also includes some papers concerning Walter Savage Landor, poet (see D.N.B.).
