Gift in free alms for souls of himself and his ancestors and successors, of allhis land, ploughed and not ploughed, with appurts. in vill of HOPTON that Alice formerly lady of Hopton formerly gave to Robert de Bek his brother. To hold by service as Robert held it of Geoffrey and his heirs, freely and quietely in wood and plain, roads and footpaths, meadows, leas owes mill streams and all easements. And his tenants of Hopton shall hold at their will (ad libitum suum) in HAYA de HOPTON without sale or hindrance of the lords of Hopton. And they shall have their draught animals (averia) within all enclosures (in omnibus defensis) of the lords of Hopton except in meadow and corn, as Geoffrey or said Robert more freely or fully ever had. Rent 6d. at Christmas and a pair of white gloves on St. John the Baptist's day for all service, suit of court, custom and demand.
