Title: | Lilleshall Estate and Perrins Family |
Description: |
Papers relating mainly to the Lilleshall Estate, 1914-43, and the Perrins family of Mavesyn Ridware and Birmingham, 19th-20th cent. Herbert Ford purchased Lilleshall from Sir John Lea in 1925 and made it an entertainment centre with a golf club, tennis courts, etc. His wife Marjorie was the daughter of Walter Perrins of Birmingham; the existence of papers relating to the Thomas family among his papers suggests a connection between the two families. |
