Requests, on Mr. Simpson's behalf, that J.M. sends maps and other papers in connection with fords at Bramwith and Stainford [Stainforth], draws up a list of all members of the House of Commons who he would like on the Committee and comes to London himself to manage the navigation business. Refers to the proposed cut on Thorp [e] Marsh and to a duel between Lord Harvey and Mr. Poultney. Asks J.M.'s permission to purchase a number of books.
