Formed in March 1873, the Association was also known as the Newcastle Engineering Employers Association.

 

The minute book series, which is not complete, includes the annual meeting of the Tyneside Branch of the Iron Trades Employers Association. The Newcastle Association eventually merged with the Sunderland and Tees and Hartlepool Associations and thereafter, formed part of the North East Coast Engineering Trades Employers Association
