From: Cecilia daughter of Walter Boes, widow after the death of Philip her husband To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory A payment of 14s 2d and 2 hens free rent in the suburbs of the city of Canterbury outside Northgate, payable by William son of Richard-the-saucer ('salsarius'), Jordan de Aula, late servant ('serviens') of Walter de Eynesham, Roger the parmenter ('parmentarius'), Jordan the saucer ('salsarius'), Fulk the poulterer ('pulletarius'), Henry the stableman ('stabularius') and William son of Osmund. Payable as specified for: William son of Richard's messuage lying with the messuage of Edmund the clerk to north, which Edmund bought of Alan the fisherman ('piscator'); the messuage of Jordan de Aula, lying with the messuage of the said William son of Richard to north; Roger's messuage opposite the house of Ralph of Littlebourne to east in the middle of the street ('medio vico'); the messuage next to north which was of Kenward up to the land which was of Peter the miller ('molendinarius'); a messuage with Fulk's house to south and the land which was of Ivo the carpenter ('carpentarius') to north; the messuage which was of Ivo; land in the street called 'thrutinton'' [Old Ruttington Lane?] with the land of Simon de horsefolde, which he holds of St Gregory's Priory, to north, the land of Joseph the smith ('faber'), which he holds of St Augustine's Abbey, to south, the land of Benedict the cook ('cocus') to east and the said street to west; and the messuage of William son of Osmund at 'Tyern'' against a house late of Robert the goldsmith ('aurifaber'), with the house which was of Warresius the goldsmith to west and the street which goes to St Helen's ('sancta Elena') [church] to east. For annual payments of 25½d to the priory's warden of Colton ('custos colton' dictorum Prioris et conventus') for the lands of Roger, Jordan, Fulk and Ivo, 6d to Hamo chekel for the land of Henry the stableman, 7d to Jordan the saucer for the messuage of William son of Osmund and 8d to the heirs of Turgisius of Dover for the lands of William son of Richard-the-saucer and Jordan de Aula. Also for an annual payment of 1d to Cecilia, payable as specified in the priory's treasury at Canterbury. For this the priory has also paid £4 2s 8d as a gersum fine. Given at Canterbury.
