Catalogue description Records of the Kent Rivers Catchment Board, the Kent River Board and the Kent River Authority

By an order made on 30 November, 1936 under the Land Drainage Act, 1930, the River Medway, the North Kent Rivers, the Romney and Denge Marsh main Drains, and the River Stour (Kent) Catchment Areas were combined as one Catchment Area, the Kent Rivers Catchment Area under a new Board, the Kent Rivers Catchment Board.

In 1950 the Catchment Board was superceeded by the Kent River Board, whose own functions were taken over by the Kent River Authority in 1965.
