Assignment of Lease

 

(1) Rev. Doctor Peter Foulkes, Chaunter of the Cathedral Church of St. Peter in Exon, Executor and residuary Legatee of Elizabeth Davy late of Medland, Devon, deceased, who was Executrix and residuary Legatee of Andrew Davy her husband, deceased, William Foulkes, gent., son of the said Doctor Peter Foulkes

 

Henry Gandy of Exon, gent.

 

(2) Robert Stone of Crediton, gent.

 

(3) Roger Tuckfield of London, esq.

 

Reciting that Dr. Peter Foulkes, William Foulkes and Henry Gandy by grants and Wills of Andrew and Elizabeth Davy, stand possessed of 3 closes, and 1 meadow called Bridwell Downe in Colebrooke, now in the possession of the said Dr. Peter Foulkes for residue of 99 years therein granted by Roger Tuckfield to Andrew Davy by Lease 11 August 1710 (Z 1/9/21a-b), and now determinable on the death of Mary, the wife of Robert Bere, gent. and sister of the said Andrew Davy.

 

Now witnessing that Parties (1) assign the Lease to Robert Stone, in trust for Roger Tuckfield and his heirs, and so as the same term may go along with and attend the inheritance thereof.
