Description:

Bequeaths to poor of Lingfield 40s; to grandchildren Susan, Jacob and Edward (three younger children of dau. Susan, w. of William Conen of London, merchant) and Mathew, Sarah and Anne Pellser (children of dau. Anne now w. of George Steane of London, merchant) £5 each; to said George and Anne Steane £5 each for mourning; to son Benjamin who has been very extravagant and undutiful 5s. only

 

Devises Apsley Town and other premises in Lingfield and East Grinstead, and house in Thames St., London and all personal estate to dau. Sarah Blare and granddau. Anne Conen equally, charged with legacies, whom he appoints executrices

 

Witnesses: Henry Johnson, William Stacy, John Swaysland

 

Codicil dated 22 May 1720. Bequeaths son-in-law William Saxby, and grandson Timothy Stileman, £5 each for mourning
