John de Groby and Adam son of William de Grendon of Stretton-on-Dunsmore. Wed. before the Annunciation, 10 Edw. I John acknowledges that he is bound to maintain Adam for his life in victuals or in food, and a robe yearly price 10s. at Christmas from the vill of Stretton in the holding which was of William de Grendon, and 2 pairs of boots and 3 pairs of shoes a year when Adam wills in the said holding, and if John fails then Adam is to have entry into the lands and holdings which he has granted to John.
