The Petitioner Eleanor's late husband served his Majesty faithfully, in the wars of Ireland, & also, for three years, as Mayor of Dublin by the Duke of Ormond's commission. He was slain at Drogheda fighting against the late Usurper Cromwell. Petitioner was then so despoiled as to be freed to marry her present husband, a poor tradesman, for her subsistance. Petitioners jointly pray that the deceased Lieutenant Colonel's arrears as Mayor of Dublin may be stated & allowed. ... |
