Correspondence of the Lyttelton family; 1627-1701. As follows:-

(1) Two letters to Meriel Lyttelton, widow of John Lyttelton (d. 1601), from her sons, Edward and Thomas (Sir Thomas Lyttelton, 1st Bt.), conc. an unsuitable match for their sister, 19 May 1627, n.d. fols. 1-4v;-

(2) Edward Lyttelton, to his brother, Sir Thomas, hoping that private disputes would not interfere, 19 July 1642. fols. 5-6v;-

(3) Correspondence with Sir Thomas Lyttelton, 1st Bt., mainly 1642, conc. the raising of troops for the King's service including a letter from Sir Edward Nicholas to the Commissioners of Array for Worcs., 21 Aug. 1642, and a request from Lord Falkland for Sir Thomas to go to Shrewsbury to confer with the King, 19 Sept. 1642. fols. 7-8v, 20-5v;-
