Deposited by the late John L. Whytehead Esq., September 1956.

Custodial history:

The Bilton Park MSS came to Mr. Whytehead (once of Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire N.R,) from his relations, the Watsons, of Bilton Park nr. Knaresborough, Yorkshire, W.R. Before depositing the records, Mr. Whytehead sorted them and destroyed those which appeared to be of no interest, and also many hundreds of letters. There are no papers remaining at Bilton Hall.
