| Administrative / biographical background: |
Garrison Lane Board School opened in 1873 with separate departments for boys, girls and infants. The school was altered and reorganised in 1929 into a single department for junior and infant children. The school closed in 1941, but re opened in 1951 for infants. It finally closed in 1959. |
