Kendall, the woodcarver, at The Manufactory, Chapel Street, 24th July 1899, explaining the ideas behind the details of the carved work on the desk to Mr Glover, who is making the presentation of the desk that evening, with typescript copy of part of the letter; and to Canon [Rivington], from the same address, 18th April 1905, on sending him two paper knives made by Kendall from "two small pieces of the old King's School oak .... as a little memento of this ancient building". |
