Description:

Recites: (i) Ann Skinner leaving her stock & property equally divided between M. Totton & C. Bird, her late husband's nephew, John Heathcote to be the exor.

 

(ii) Codicil to Will of 23 June, 1823 by which A. Skinner left the interest & her property to Elizabeth Downes for life, but as E. Downes pre-deceased her, this bequest became void. Also left a legacy of 10gns. to Mrs. Jane Peat of Charles St.

 

(iii) Death of Mrs. A. Skinner on 1 August, 1835 1835 & proving of will by John Heathcote, in P.C.C. on on 5 Dec. 1835

 

(iv) Conversion of Navy Stock into new £4% Annuities.

 

(v) This new stock further converted into new £3.10s. % Annuities.

 

(vi) Death of Lydia Heathcote, in 1822 leaving John Heathcote as sole trustee of Ann Skinner.

 

(vii) J. Heathcote having paid legacy & debts & at request of Totton & Bird, sold out the stock. And having a sum of £570.4s. to be equally divided between Totton & Bird.

 

(viii) Payment today by Heathcote of said moieties to Totton & Bird.

 

Now therefore Totton & Bird acquit John Heathcote of all claims under said will.
