The manor of Kirby Hall with the members of Hales Hall and advowson of Kirby Cane, the manor of Sisland otherwise Charles, Kirby Hall, and appurtenances in Kirby Cane, Stockton, Ellingham, Hales, and Norton Subcourse, Geldeston, Thurlton, Haddiscoe, Sisland, Doddon, Heckingham, Chedgrave, Mundham, Thwaite, and Hardley(co. Norfolk) and Mettingham (co. Suffolk), the manors of Old Wingfield Hall and Wingfield Frumbalds, Wingfield Castle, and appurtenances in Wingfield, Syleham, Stradbroke, Hoxne, Weybread, Fressingfield, and Mettingham (co. Suffolk), bequeathed in 1757 by Phillipa Leman to Henry William Wilson. In 1781 a recovery was suffered to the use of H. W. Wilson and Lieutenant Robert Wilson his oldest son and in 1857 Henry William Lord Berners conveyed the manor of Kirby Hall with the members of Hales Hall, Kirby Hall, marshes in Norton Subcourse, and farms etc. in Kirby Cane, Stockton and Ellingham to bar entails and vest the fee simple in himself. The estate was apparently sold in 1869. Docs. include copy of Will of Phillipa Leman spinster of Wenhaston (co.Suffolk), dated 1755 and proved 1757
