Folios 433-434. Workhouse Inspection Report from Colonel Ward, [Colonel Francis Beckford Ward] Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union workhouse on 2 December 1868: includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, number of inmates. The sick wards are crowded and the classification of inmates is still a problem. The water closets complained about on the last visit are not used for infectious cases.
Annotated: write to the guardians on the points raised regarding the defective classification referred to in the Clerk's letter dated 30 October 1868. 7 December 1868.
