From: John Darell, esq; John Swougham To: John Hales of Tenterden John Darell and John Swougham have audited the account of William Baile, George Mercer and John Hales, separately receivers of the profits of all lands and tenements late of William Bettenham, deaceased, in the towns ('villa') and parishes of Tenterden, Halden, Rye and Iden, from the date of the death of William Bettenham until 29 Sep next, with John Strekynbold', one of the feoffees of the lands. William, George and John Strykenbold' were acquitted and John Hales owes £5, apart from which he is also acquitted. Signatures of John Darell and John Swougham [signs 'Swofham'] at end of document.
