£9.9s. each to John Clayton, Thomas May and Jemima Vaughan. Silver cup to son Charles Wylde Sherlock. Residue trinkets and plate to daughters (Frances Octavia Gordon, Charlotte Elizabeth Sherlock and Sophia Caroline Sherlock) Daughters successively to have choice of household furniture, books and pictures to the value of £20 each; then residue, to son C.W.S. for life, then to be sold and proceeds divided equally between his children. Wine, food, horses and carriages to son. Property in Thoreton and Orston and money (under her marriage settlement as DD/S/51/22 which is recited) to son for life, then to his eldest son Francis Wylde S. and heirs, then to his second son George Brydon S., and heirs, then to third and youngest son Charles Murray S. and heirs, then equally among daughters of C.W.S.

 

Tenement in Thoroton in occupation of William Hardy; all other property in Orston; garden in Southwell beside "my mansion house"; the Brick Hill Field and all other property in Southwell on trust for mortgage for £1350 "at the cost of my residuary personal estate" (£750 to nephews Charles and George Storer in satisfaction of a bond. And £600 to trustees of will "of my late father" (in part payment of £900 borrowed from them, remaining £300 to be paid out of personal estate)) subject to such mortgage for £1350, the premises to son C.W.S. and heirs. Close at Basford to be sold, proceeds to be added to residuary personal estate. One seventh part each, of all monies to be divided amongst children (under marriage settlement of E.S.), to daughters C.E.S. and S.C.S. (daughters Georgina Harriet Randolph. Frances Octavia Gordon and Adelaide Victoria Sherlock having each received one seventh share on their marriages). Remaining two-seventh shares equally amongst the 5 daughters. Interest on £1000 to son C.W.S. for life then equally amongst his children. £1000 each to 5 daughters. £100 each to Charles and George Storer. Residue of personalty in trust for daughter Frances Octavia Gordon then equally among her children. Exors. and Trustees, daughter Frances Octavia Gordon of Southwell, widow, and George Storer of Thornton, Esq., codicil revoking bequest of £1000 on trust for son C.W.S., a large sum having been paid for his benefit in the meantime
