Description:

Folio 125-129. Letter from the magistrates of Pontefract, Yorkshire, concerning the murder of William Bradbury and his son, Thomas, occupiers of the Beer House in Saddleworth, Yorkshire. A sworn statement given by Ammon Platt is enclosed and a handbill offering a reward of £100 to be paid on conviction of any of the murderers. The government is asked to offer a further reward. Letter annotated 'Gazetted in Thursday's Gazette April 10 - with offer of £100 and pardon.'
