Lieutenant General Eyre Coote (numerous correspondence: regiments to be sent to Jamaica to serve under Coote's command, combined French and Spanish forces heading for West Indies with intention of gaining British islands, defence of Barbados and Jamaica; arrival of Coote at Cork, awaiting for final instructions for embarkation; arrival of troops and transports at Cork, embarkation delayed temporarily; allowance of troops; arrival of combined French and Spanish forces at Martinique, Nelson bound for Barbados, intelligence regarding French near Tortolla; death of Royal Artillery officers; inadequate accommodation on board ship for certain officers; arrival of convoy at Barbados).
