Description:
Petitioners: Robert Hawtmount of Watlington, and tenant of the prince and of his manor of Watlington.
Name(s): Hawtmount, Robert

Nature of request: Hawtemount shows that Abrey wears the livery of the prince (one side being white, and the other green like the livery and sign of the prince) and by colour and might of the same gown, and by strength of his bailiwick has committed many robberies, escapes of felons, wrongs and great extortions to the petitioner and others of the same shire. They can have no remedy against Abrey according to the law within the honour of Wallingford. Hawtemount requests that the premises be considered, and Abrey be sent for and commanded to appear before the council at a certain day to stand and answer to all the premises as shall be alleged, and that he make restoration and amends to the petitioner and others of his neighbours according to right and conscience.
