Title: | Supreme Court of Judicature: High Court of Justice, Companies Court: Registrars' Notes |
Description: |
This series contains registrars' notes, which were kept by the several registrars to record the progress and eventual outcome of cases of the companies court. They are sometimes accompanied by associated documents, such as receivers' reports, consents to act as liquidator, notices of petition, etc. They relate mostly to winding up, but some concern the so-called 'Chancery' business of the court arising from applications for confirmation or reduction of capital, sanction of schemes of arrangement, etc. |
Date: | 1893-1948 |
Arrangement: |
The files are arranged by year and then alphabetically within each year. Individual files within each box are numbered using the original file numbers. These apparently reflect a filing system that was numerical with each year and differs from the alphabetical sequence. Hence, items do not appear in numerical order when browsing the catalogue entries. |
