"Photograph of Mr John Stainer of Solent View Binstead I of W seated." Mr Stainer wears the Naval General Service Medal for action 1793-1840, with the Navarino 1827 bar, issued in 1847. Stainer was the last survivor of Navarino and died aged 99 in March 1907. For his service record, see: ADM 29/52/142
