Description: |
Papers transferred from the chambers of Master Robert Thesiger Watkin-Williams, who served in the Chancery Division of the High Court from 1910 until 1932. The series does include material generated by his predecessors and inherited by him. The predecessors of Master Robert Thesiger Watkin-Williams (1910-1932) in his role as a Master/Chief Clerk were Master Charles Burney (1877-1909), Master Edmund Boyle Church (1864-1876) and, for causes with initial letters A-F, Master George Whiting (1852-1863). These papers arise mainly from actions concerning the administration of the estates of deceased persons and from proceedings under the Companies Acts. They are listed mostly by the initial letter of the action concerned, and many of them relate to bills of costs, list of claims and final accounts. |
