Debtor: Robert Store, and William Mantell of Norton St Philip [Wellow Hundred, Somerset], merchants. Creditor: William Choke of Stanton Drew in Somerset [Keynsham Hundred]. Amount: £53 6s. 8d. Before whom: William Canynges, Mayor of the Staple of Bristol. When taken: 09/07/1386 First term: 24/06/1387 Last term: 24/06/1387 Writ to: Sheriff of Somerset Sent by: Chancery Endorsement: John Rodney, Sheriff, replies that Robert Store was not found in the bailiwick. William Mantel has been captured and imprisoned in Ilchester gaol. The writ arrived too late to extend and seize all the lands and chattels of Robert and William. |
