| Note: | Inquisition and return: Date given for return to Chancery: 6.10.1387 The Sheriff had replied to a previous writ that he had sent it to John Osbern, bailiff of the liberty of Rochford, who made no reply. Attached [numbered m.7] is the writ from Chancery dated Westminster, 22.7.1387 to the Sheriff of Essex, superseding the writ directing him to seize John Prittlewell's goods in the hundred of Rochester because the Countess had expressed herself satisfied of the debt in Chancery. |
