Nature of request: The bishop of Carlisle requests:1) that whereas he and his men were indicted for taking a buck from Crofton Mire in the forest of Inglewood at Messenger's house in the forest on Monday before the feast of John the Baptist 27 Edward [I] [1299], for which the King has pardoned them, that he may have a writ of pardon according to the King's grant;2) pontage or other aid because the bridge over the Eden is dangerous and ruined.
