Description:

Orders, instructions and guidance issued by Board of Taxes, Board of Stamps and Taxes, and Board of Inland Revenue to tax officials (including inspectors of taxes and the Valuation Office) and relating mainly to income and assessed taxes.

The records include Board's Circulars, Chief Inspectors' Memoranda and Establishment Circulars. The series also includes a volume concerning stamp duties 1874 to 1908 and another relating to establishment matters 1833 to 1900. There are also a few copies of posters concerning income tax, issued for public display during the Second World War.
