Administrative / biographical background: |
From 1905 until March 1950 redemptioners were required to provide plans showing the property to be exonerated on redemption. Plans were dispensed with and the form of the Redemption Certificate was simplified for redemptions initiated subsequent to the 31st March 1950 for the introduction of Compulsory redemption by Part V. of the Finance Act, 1949 (12 and 13 Geo. 6 c.47. 30.7.1949). |
