Description:

Captured ship: L'Aimable Gracieuse formerly Les Trois Soeurs (master Gerard Jaulerry otherwise Jaulery or Jolery).

History: a French merchant ship (120 tons, 17 men) bound from Bordeaux to Quebec, laden with brandy, prunes, soap, hats, cheese, fruits in brandy, truffles, mushrooms, hams, oil, cotton thread, shoes etc; taken on the Banks of Newfoundland on 25 July 1744 by the privateer Salisbury of Bristol (Nicholas Harmon commanding) and brought into Bristol.
